Ways to Help

From Vegas Open Network Wiki

VONet is in the early planning phase, and we’re laying the groundwork for a community-owned internet in Las Vegas. Right now, there are a few key ways you can help us get started:

Volunteer

We're looking for people interested in networking, outreach, organizing, or just lending a hand. Whether you're technical or not, there’s something you can contribute.

Host a Node (Soon)

Eventually, we’ll need volunteers willing to host rooftop antennas or small routers to help build out the network. If you’re open to hosting equipment in the future, let us know and we’ll keep you updated.

Spread the Word

Even at this stage, getting the word out helps a lot. Share the idea with friends, neighbors, or community groups. The more people who know about VONet, the faster we can grow.

We’re working on partnering with a fiscal sponsor so we can accept tax-deductible donations. Once that’s in place, we’ll launch our first round of fundraising to support pilot installations and outreach.

Stay Connected

If you’re interested in helping or just want to stay in the loop, reach out or sign up for updates.
