This page outlines the waiver policies required for participation in VONet’s work and governance. All participants in installations, volunteer efforts, or organizational leadership must agree to these waivers to ensure mutual understanding of risk, liability, and expectations.

== 1. Installation Waivers ==
Anyone participating in physical installation work (including rooftop equipment, cabling, antennas, or infrastructure setup) must sign an installation-specific waiver.

* Must be 18 years or older.
* Acknowledges physical risks including falls, electrical exposure, or equipment malfunction.
* Releases VONet, property owners, and partner organizations from liability for injuries, except in cases of gross negligence.
* Confirms completion of a safety briefing prior to work.

== 2. Volunteer Waivers ==
All volunteers, regardless of role, must sign a general volunteer waiver before participating in any VONet activity.

The Director must sign a leadership agreement and waiver of liability recognizing the responsibilities and risks of executive oversight.

== 5. Storage and Recordkeeping ==
* All signed waivers will be securely stored digitally for a minimum of 3 years.
* Physical waivers, if used, will be scanned and archived.
* Access to waiver documents is restricted to designated VONet administrators and legal counsel as needed.

== 6. Updates and Revisions ==
VONet reserves the right to update waiver language as legal or operational needs change. Participants will be notified of material changes and may be asked to sign updated versions when necessary.
